Pay: $83,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year (Base Salary + Quarterly Bonus)
Overview:
Children's Therapy Services of Colorado, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary (ST, OT, PT and ABA) outpatient clinic located in Northglenn, CO. We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team of pediatric therapy specialists. Position:
The Pediatric Physical Therapist serves children from birth through early adolescence who are diagnosed with a variety of congenital, developmental, neurological, or orthopedic conditions and delays. The ideal candidate will assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help children improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall functional independence.
This role requires creativity, adaptability, and a strong understanding of gross motor development and movement patterns, along with excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to support children in achieving their goals. The position will be based at our clinic in Northglenn and may also include working with families of children ages 0–3 in homes through Early Intervention services.
Primary Responsibility:
The Pediatric Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating children with developmental, neuromuscular, and orthopedic needs while supporting families through education and collaboration. The therapist develops individualized treatment plans and delivers evidence-based therapy that promotes mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
Duties:
Evaluation and Treatment: Evaluate and treat children with developmental, neuromuscular, and orthopedic needs. Conduct therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions in individual and group settings.
Treatment Planning: Create individualized therapy plans targeting gross motor development, strength, balance, coordination, gait training, and functional mobility.
Family Education: Educate and coach families on techniques and strategies to support development and progress toward therapy goals.
Functional Mobility Development: Use therapeutic activities to improve functional independence in mobility, play participation, and daily routines.
Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals including CTSC’s multidisciplinary team of speech therapists, occupational therapists, and BCBAs, in addition to pediatricians and educators.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports.
Early Intervention Services: Provide early intervention services and participate in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings when applicable.
Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in pediatric physical therapy.
Requirements:
Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Colorado.
CPR and First Aid Certification required by start date.
Experience working with pediatric populations, including children with diagnoses such as developmental delays, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, orthopedic conditions, and neurological impairments.
Strong problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage children, families, and other therapists effectively.
Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of children.
Comfort working in a fast-paced and dynamic pediatric environment.
Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
Environmental/Physical Requirements:
Physical Demands:
• Frequent engagement with children ages birth to 18, including those with behavioral or sensory challenges.
• Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, and sitting on the floor to engage at a child’s level.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry infants and young children when necessary.
• Ability to assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility support.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations, to children in distress or during physical challenges.
Environmental Conditions:
• Work in a dynamic, child-focused clinic environment with noise, movement, and active play.
• Exposure to therapy equipment such as mats, gait trainers, balance equipment, and strengthening tools.
• Occasional travel between clinic and home settings for Early Intervention services.
• Adherence to infection control protocols to limit exposure to illness.
Allergen Exposure Considerations:
• Potential exposure to common food allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, and shellfish.
• Employees must follow strict hand hygiene and infection control protocols.
• Contact with therapy materials (e.g., play dough, foam, latex, cleaning products) that may trigger allergic reactions.
• Possible exposure to pet dander or environmental allergens in home-based settings.
